Answered by Dr. Vaishalee Punj (30 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Pap smear needs to be done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Foul smell can happen normally before and after menstrual periods. It can be managed by changing sanitary pads every 3-4 hrs. If it is happening at other times of the month and accompanies other symptoms like discharge from vagina, fever, discomfort in pelvic region etc then it is time to see your gynecologist. She will be able to examine you physically and even do tests like pap smear (done in sexually active women).

If you describe your symptoms, I will be better able to help.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
