Question : Long story short, I had the depo shot back in XXXXXXX for very heavy, painful periods and extreme depression right before bleeding. Not for pregnancy. Its month 2 and I started bleeding on Thursday and pain is so ungodly. It keeps me up at night. No NSAID will touch it. It radiates into my thighs and butthole. Problem is I have been on suboxone for 7 years. No relapse. No cravings. No dirty urine. But now I'm in trouble bc of the receptor thing. My very first time with so much pain since I started suboxone 7 years ago, that I am paying for help. Can the e.r. help with this pain? I'm not moving off this if not. No way. I was reading they have the ability to put something strong in an IV that will bump suboxone off. Is that true? If so, will they do that for menstrual pain? I know it's not really menstrual bc the time for my period has gone by and also my clitoris is not sensitive. It only gets this certain sensitivity every time I have my real period. This is an imposter and I dont know how long its gonna last. So will it be a waste of time going to the e.r.?
Brief Answer:
Attending ER will be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The extreme pain radiating to the thighs that you have can be related to an acute disc related problem causing a nerve root compression. Right now you can do a hot compress in the area and see if ti helps. Otherwise you can attend an ER and get some oral muscle relaxants prescribed which can help easing off the spasm. In case of acute severe pain, i.v. medicines can be started after proper diagnosis.
