Vesicare And Ditropan At Different Intervals Cause Issue ?

default
Posted on Mon, 10 Jun 2024
Question: Hi, doctor. Having very uncomfortable symptoms for a few weeks now. Constant urge to urinate with bladder empty. Recently had a UTI but was cleared up with amox/clav. Also, have experienced these same symptoms in the past off and on with no UTI. I have taken both vesicare and ditropan at different intervals - neither did one bit to alleviate symptoms. Often, accompanying this urge is some burning, stinging in genital area and intercourse very painful. Urologist said it could be vulvodynia but said that's not his specialty and no idea how to treat it. I also have neuralgia so wondering if the pudental nerve may be involved. In any event, wondering if u could help me to suggest any meds, topicals, home remedy, anything that may offer some relief. Thank u so much.

Brief Answer:
It could be due to muscular weakness

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Your symptoms are suggestive of muscular weakness, it could be due to pelvic floor muscle weakness.
You can take the medicine for the same and you can go for urodynamic study to rule out the cause.
You should go for pelvic floor muscle exercise and take high protein diet and some multivitamins as well
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck
Regards
