Brief Answer:
Steps not cause any damage to knee

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your problem. Steps walking is a good and safe exercise. There is no harm in this provided you follow some rules.
1. Wear food soft sports shoes.
2. Do not do brisk walking.
3. Using stairs is not good.
4. Do not use hard surface or road. Walking is allowed on soft surface like grass or sand .
If you take these precautions then walking is safe . There is no maximum number of steps .
thanks
