Never debrided until zi did at home with a washcloth. I believe I have-had MRSA also, and not told except by gram negative cocci. Was on int antibiotics until
Nov. 2017. Scheduled for a skin graft. I know I am infected, and think the wound clinic I have been seeing Sept. 2017-Oct. 2018 is not telling me... I do nor want a skin graft over an infected wound.
Was told we all have bacteria. A vet came over to put my dog down, and he said I had MRSA He was a MD for 12 years before.
I want to send photos 4

                                    Brief Answer:
Examinations are needed before the skin graft procedure, explained below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I already reviewed the attached reports.
I understand your concern.
A skin graft is a surgical operation.
Before every surgical operation, we ask for some tests to evaluate the health condition of our patient.
So, if you were my patient, before the skin graft I would ask the following examinations:
A complete blood count, kidney test, liver enzymes and a blood sugar test
An electrocardiogram
A chest x-ray
If your surgeon does not agree to do these tests before the skin graft I would recommend to ask a second opinion from another surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Including for MRSA and infection? Do you see hypergranulation?
Went to hyperbaric therapy 35 times. (Insurance denied because not diabetic, and no change, AND repealed, Wound Dr. said not medically necessary, surgeon no reply)
I DO not want this procedure if any infection is present

                                    Brief Answer:
The examinations are required, including MRSA infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,
I do not see hypergranulation from the attached photos.
The examinations that I mentioned above are used before any type of surgery.
In case that MRSA infection is suspected, more examinations may be required.
Usually in this case we take a sample of the wound or nasal secretions.
The sample is sent to a lab to see the bacterial growth.
In case that the infection is present, the skin graft procedure is postponed.
So, I recommend to ask for these examinations before the skin graft procedure.
Take care dear,
Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
