Question : Hello, I have what appears to be a polyp at the entrance of my anus which may in fact be a hemorrhoid. I say this because prior to yesterday it was not hard and swollen. It came and went and seemed like a small balloon and was sometimes inflated and sometimes not inflated. I cannot say it is painful, but it is becoming irritating. What should my next course of action be?
Brief Answer:
If possible visit a proctologist .
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
If possible visit a proctologist to examine you and see the conditions of your anus.
You can use haemorrhoids ointment or suppositories which can be found over the counter.
Also you can add more fiber and water to your diet in order to avoid constipation which is the main factor to make it worse.
Avoid sitting for long hours.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
