Brief Answer:
In most centers a 2 mm clear margins is standard.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

In most centers, 2 mm clear margins resection or more for lumpectomy/ partial mastectomy is considered as standard.

Yet, other centers consider as standard > 1 mm clear margins resection.

The recurrence rates are not much different in two standards, so in my opinion a 1.6 mm could be considered as adequate.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
