What Are Elevated Immature Granulocytes In Blood Work Indicative Of?

Question: Immauture Granulocytes came back on blood work elevated. Absolute was 0.4, the other one was 0.5 -- not sick, haven't been sick, no infections. Is this cause for concern.

Hello,

Immature granulocytes usually represent early stages of infection and as they are mildly elevated and you are asymptomatic, it may represent occult infection. It is not a cause of worry, as most such infections are self limited.
