Brief Answer:
Risk is there. seek Post exposure prophylaxis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

Your sex partner was not necessarily a HIV positive woman. But anyhow there is some risk is there as your condom ruptured.
It is better to attend a emergency room and meet physician in charge and try to take post exposure prophylaxis as early as possible within 72 hours (preferably within 24 hours). That could definitely abort the possible infection, if any. Then you will be safe.

Brief Answer:
PEP preferable than to have hiv/253657?iL=true" >AIDS,a lifelong menace

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

These drugs may likely to have some adverse effects only with few and not with all. Moreover, it will be a short course for 4 weeks. If any untoward effects are there, these could be overcome or tackled with adding some other common drugs. Even if she is not HIV reactive, if you think, she could be well in window period, it is better for you to take post exposure prophylaxis avoiding delay.
It is better to go for PEP instead of getting disease which would be a life long menace.

Brief Answer:
You are more safe now with PEP

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again.
You took a wise decision.

Still there is every chance that the lady could be HIV negative. Your exposure was partially protected one. HIV risk through vaginal penetration as per CDC XXXXXXX is
5 per 10000 exposures. In spite of this you prefer to take PEP. So you are quite safe and nothing to worry.
