It is a useful drug and often life saving drug and safe if used with medical supervision.
In the short term it can cause euphoria and lack of sleep and rise in blood pressure and blood glucose.
With long term high dose use, it can cause diabetes and hypertension. It can also cause osteoporosis , fractures, obesity, and cataract etc.
