Question : Had unprotected oral sex (no ejaculation) with my boyfriend 3 times. Started about 3/4 weeks ago. We'd been seeing each other about 2.5 months before we got physical like that. Before, we went to a XXXXXXX HIV testing center. We both tested negative. We're monogamous. Last week developed a rash on my buttocks. Then, I googled it.

Big mistake.

I'm now an emotional wreck. I went to the hospital and the rash was diagnosed as infaitaogo because I shaved and it must have gotten infected. I got an HIV test last week and it came out negative. Then, I realized it may not show up until 6 weeks. So, I paid for one of those tests that can detect antibodies 7-11 days after exposure. I haven't gotten the results yet.

I've been sleepy, nauseous, and have body aches for the past week and a half. I think I may have the beginning of a yeast infection. I'm thinking that all of that is psychological issues brought on by stress and anxiety.

I've been tested twice and both are negative. However, there idea little devil on my shoulder that is freaking me out.

What are the chances I have HIV? Are these ARS symptoms?

Brief Answer:
NO HIV or ARS

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you are so upset about possible contraction of HIV or ARS. There is no chance that you could contract HIV or ARS from unprotected oral sex. Those persons who have contacted HIV through oral sex are sex workers who have numerous exposures and already have low immunity. Your chance for contracting HIV through your minimal exposure in non-existent.

You now have impetigo which is a common infection and nothing to be concerned about. The yeast infection you now have is from taking the antibiotic for the impetigo. I recommend using an OTC vaginal yeast preparation to help with the yeast.

Let me reassure you that you are healthy and you don't need to be worried about HIV or ARS

I'm not really sure if it's a yeast infection. There is it itching, burning or pain down there. It was just a bit of thick, white discharge...almost like cottage cheese. No foul odor. I only saw it one time but it shocked the hell out of me. That was before I got the cream for the rash.

Still okay?

I've been under a lot of stress because of this. Can this cause oral thrush? I've noticed a slight yellow-y coating on my tongue. It doesn't hurt and it's not a lot of it. Unknown it's probably nothing but i got on WebMD and now I think everything is an STD.

Brief Answer:
Thrush

Detailed Answer:
Thrush or oral yeast infection is not a sign of an STD. It can be related to the taking of the antibiotics or using a steroid inhaler for asthma. Though from your description I do not think you have thrush. Thrush is usually white and coats the inside of the mouth not the tongue.

Try to relax you are perfectly healthy. You are not at risk for STD at this time.

On another note-- is it normal for the scab to burn a bit as it heals? It's not unbearable but it's noticeable. I feel it a few times during the day. It's about 80/90% gone.

I'll be glad when it clears up. I won't have to look at it and I can get on with my life.

Detailed Answer:
It is OK tht a scab has some hypersensitivity while healing. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about. Just keep the wound clean.
