Posted on Thu, 2 Jul 2015
Question: On our way back from a club, my friend was fingering a girl in the car, and after we got home minutes later he puts his fingers on my nose , it touched my nose and it touched my lip as well. I smelled her semen, it was weird, fishy smell. I got mad at him and hit him for doing so. can I catch anything? like stds because he touched my nose and my lip?

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to cause an infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Putting a finger containing female genital tract fluid on the nose and lips is unlikely to lead to any spread of infection.

2. Your friend only touched the nose and lips and this is unlikely to allow any of the fluid inside your system.

3. I hope you washed the nose and lip after the incident and rinsed your face with water.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
