I used neosporin for a day and Now am using puremedy bio-ceuticals....there are like 3 brands. ...salve and for eczema and psoriasis relief. ..it has the things the other 2 brands have....Calendula Officinalis - marigold - skin healing agent, Thuja Occidentalis - arbor vitae - .....Echinacea Angustifolia - skin healing...elderberry for skin swelling
On Saturday there was a white line after it bled some on Friday....and now that white is red

Brief Answer:
it should not scar

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
A small wound like this should heal up very well without scarring. The medications that you are using sound helpful but as long as you keep it clean and it does not get infected it should heal up very well. For the first few months after healing there may be a small scar but this should resolve and return to normal after that time period. Small wounds usually heal up nicely without much evidence of scarring. Make sure not to pick at it and when you wash it just do it softly with soap and water and do not scrub it.

it will really take that long though? I'm glad to hear it won't scar because I felt confident about it during the first few days and now five days later it's good to get a doctors perspective on this. How visible would it still be in like 2 weeks? No more questions on this after this. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
small lighter spot

Detailed Answer:
In two weeks it might be just a small lighter spot of skin. It really can take a while to heal up completely but small injuries usually heal up without scarring.
Best to you,

I need to re-ask the question and kindly make sure that this answer applies to the drilling.injury being outside my mout below my lower lip not inside my mouth. My injury is below my lower lip on the outside of my mouth
Was that the answer I received about or was it to do with the inside of my mouth....my injury is below my lip on the outside of my mouth.

Brief Answer:
yes

Detailed Answer:
Yes, I understood that the injury was on the outside of your mouth, not inside. That is how I answered the question. Again, this should heal up without scarring as long as it does not get infected and get larger.

Dr. Robinson
