Question : I was irragatung a foley at work and it backsplashed on my face. I dont know if any got in my eye. I washed my face but didnt get to eyewash because was iterupted by an electrical fire in another residents room and just forgot about the incident fir awhile. This happened 3 days ago now. If i were going to get some sort of infection from the incident would it already have occured? How long untill i can feel in the clear? My eyes itch and feel a bit dry but no crusting or anything. I wear masscara daily and normally i would just figure they were irritated from the mascarra but i dont know right now. The catheter i was irrigatting was a superpubic and it gets clogged often. I have done the procedure alot without ever having it backsplash so i was unprepared

Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.

He is likely to have some increase in the urine leukocytes. That is okay.
He will have other symptoms like fever if he has an active infection.
So relax, I don't think you will have a problem.
Wish you good health and a good day.
