What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Implanting A Contraception In The Arm?

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Nov 2017
Question: I have an implanted contraception in my arm. I got tested positive for chlamidya one week ago, got antibiotics and finished them. (Twice a day for seven days). Im not that sexually active, last time i had sex was in july, i took 6 pregnancy tests and they all came back negative. Yet, i missed my period this month. I dont understand why. Ive had the implanted contraception for ovef a year now, and it is 99.9% protective. So i cannot be pregnant. I am a full-time student. 18 years old, healthy but i do lack a lot of Iron and vitamin D. Why have i missed my period? I finished my antibiotics on tuesday, two days ago.

Brief Answer:
Contraceptive misses periods

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I can understand your concerns.

There are 2 possibilities for missing periods--

1) Implanted contraceptive itself misses the periods.

2) Any stressful academic events like examinations, change of place etc..which make you miss periods.

Let me know if you need any more clarifications.

Any further queries are most welcome.

Okay, so the chlamidya is no side effect to this? Or the medication?
