Brief Answer:
The chances of pregnancy are very less.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The chances of pregnancy are very less in your case.
If I -Pill is taken within 24 hrs. After unprotected sex it is 96% effective.
She may have withdrawal bleeding 3-4 days after taking I-Pill.
If withdrawal bleeding does not occur, then wait for her next period.
If she misses her next menstrual cycle for more than 7 days, then she should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query If you have further questions I will be happy to help you.
Please do safe sex in future.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa

Hello Doctor,
if she was ovulating the day we had sex, will I-Pill still work? Does that mean that when she gets withdrawal bleeding that she will not get pregnant?

Brief Answer:
Yes! It will work.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Nice to hear from you again.
Yes! I-pill works during ovulation.
I-pill prevents pregnancy in three ways-
- Delayed ovulation
- Delayed fertilization
- Delayed implantation.
It will not disturb an established pregnancy.
Withdrawal bleeding is a side effect of I-Pill due to high dose of hormone.
It will not indicate whether she is pregnant or not.
But in your case as she had I-Pill within the time so please do not get worried about pregnancy.
Hope this is helpful, feel free to discuss more.
Good luck.
Regards
