Brief Answer:
Not likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

The mode of action of the emergency pill varies with the phase of the menstrual cycle and also when it has been consumed, usually after the intercourse.

When taken before the onset of ovulation, ovulation is inhibited due to the high hormone content in the pill. When taken after ovulation has occurred, it makes the cervical mucus thick and hostile for the ascent of the sperms. When taken after conception, it makes the uterine lining unfavorable for the implantation of the embryo.

Also, the efficacy of the pill varies depending on the time frame when it has been consumed. The efficacy is above 95% when taken within 6 hours. This efficacy becomes 85% when taken after 24 hours until 72 hours.

Since you have given the pill prior to the intercourse, the effects may vary since the drug has a half-life and may not be so effective after 24 hours, though blood levels have been found for five days. Yet, she is protected mostly. This is enhanced if she is in her safe period, when, actually there is no need for any pill.

Since the pill has a high hormone content, withdrawal bleeding may occur for a couple of days. Also, the next natural period may get delayed by a week or two. If she does not see her next period even after ten days after she is due, help must be sought from a specialist for further management.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for any more information. I will be happy to help.
