Brief Answer:
do not worry, risk not there

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Please do not worry at all.

The risk of pregnancy after a single act of sex [ considering that the condom broke in this one only] is low. Also you have taken the Ipill immediately. So there is very very low or almost no chance of pregnancy.

Kindly give me the date of your last period and also if the periods are regular or not, so that I may inform you about the fertile period and the possibility of pregnancy in a better probability.

So do not worry. You have already taken the I pill.

The next period may be irregular, either early or delayed [ cannot predict when it comes] due to the Ipill.
Hope this satisfies your query.

My periods have been irregular. 4 days earlier or late. We are not trying to conceive. My last period was on around 20th of last month

Brief Answer:
it was a fertile day but i pill still protects

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

If the period was on 20th, the fertile days begin from 30 aug - 3rd september.
So this was one of the fertile day.

However as you have taken the I pill immediately it protects in 99% cases. So do not worry. Pregnancies are extremely rare with I pills.

Hope this helps.

Should I take another ipill for extra precaution?

Answered by Dr. Madhuri N Bagde (21 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
do not take another pill

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

No, there is no need to take extra I pill and it will not add any more to the effect as compared to the single pill. In fact it may cause more side effects. So please do not take it.

The dose is a single pill as soon as possible within 72 hours and the sooner the better. So as you have taken it quickly, there is no risk.

Do not worry. If you get stressed you are more likely to miss your period due to stress and then again worry about pregnancy. So just relax, the pill has already begun to do its job.
