What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy Inspite Of Being On Birth Control Pills?

default
Posted on Sat, 20 Jun 2015
Question: Hi there. About a week and a half ago (May 24th), I had unprotected sex. He didn't cum inside me. Four days later, I started having this thick brown/purplish discharge and my vagina has been extremely itchy and dry ever since. Is this normal?? Or cause for concern? Could it be a sign of an STD or pregnancy? I'm on birth control and currently in the middle of my third week of the pack, meaning I had just started the second week when I had sex last. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
negligible chances of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.

The chances of pregnancy the negligible as you are on birth control pills and your partner ejaculated outside.

Vaginal discharge, itchiness and dryness can possibly be the symptoms of STD.

Kindly consult a gynecologist for pelvic examination and testing the sample of vaginal secretion for confirmation of cause.

The choice of drug would depend on the cause.

Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.

Thanks.
