Question : Hi doctor, my girlfriend and I were intimate for three days..we had no intercourse but had oral sex and I think I may have fingered her after touching my ejaculated penis..I rubbed my hand on sheet to clean before touching her....is there any chance of pregnancy?? Should she take post contraceptive pills? Thank you

Thanks for the query to HCM,
Ifthere was pre cum on your penis before you touched it and then fingered her , then inspite of cleaning on bed sheet there may be a chance of pregnancy but the chances are fairly low, considering the sperms would have been destroyed after coming in contact with the bed sheet.
Also its been more than 72 hrs now since your sexual intimacy so emergency contraceptive pills would also be less effective. Also important would be to note if she was in her fertile period/ mid cycle when ovulation occurs as that would increase her chances of pregnancy as well.
An ecp/ plan b can be given within 72-120 hrs of sexual act, so considering that there may be a chance, you may give her an ecp and wait for the withdrawal bleed. Once the bleed occurs in next 5-7 days that shall ensure that she is not pregnant.
Or you may get a serum beta hcg test done after 7 days post this sexual act, to check for hcg levels. if the hcg levels are less than 3mIU then she is not pregnant for sure and safe.
