Question: Is it possible for two people to have sex, and one person has trichomoniasis but the other person dose not test possitive for it, yet they had sex multiple times?

There is a risk of transmission once one partner is infected. Men are less exposed compared to women and the transmission from women to men is not always 100%.

Symptomatic trichomoniasis is more common in women than in men and trichomoniasis is thought to be widely underdiagnosed due to the low sensitivity of a commonly used diagnostic technique (wet mount microscopy) and nonspecific symptoms.

This means that you might test negative but the parasite is still in your system and most of the time you might not have symptoms but the parasite is in your system.

Treatment is recommended to sex partners of infected people. In my opinion, I would advise that both of you take treatment even if one has tested negative and with no symptoms.
