default
Posted on Mon, 1 Aug 2016
Question: Can you tell me if i do have a problem with my pancreas? I haven't the systems but I'm still scared of something happening because my bother had trouble with his and he never went to a doctor so he got worse and he passed away. I just worry so much and I was wondering if there is a medicine that could help. I eat healthy. I even drink lemon water with a dash of salt in. They say that's healthy.
Thank you for answering my questions Dr. Rynne. I'm 70 years old. Don't look my age though. People think I'm 65. I wish!! Thank you for letting me write to you.I put in that number you asked for and you tell me that you can't help me because the number isn't correct? Boy, it's hard to get to a question asked by a doctor. I even gave you my credit card number. What do you want? XXXXXXX xxxxxxx

Brief Answer:
With no symptoms, there is really no need to be worried about this!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this fear that you have expressed. I have reviewed your information fully and this is in no way suggestive of cancer. Please, all disease manifest via symptoms. Fro pancreas, watch out for abdominal pain, weight loss, yellowish stool and poor digestion. If you notice any of these, at that time only should you seek for further evaluation to make sure there is nothing bothersome going on. For now, there is clearly none. Be relaxed and be on the watch and report XXXXXXX such symptoms for evaluation. It is but logical for you to be afraid following what happened to your brother but you are very far from that at this time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thank you Dr. Ditah for answering me. I'm sorry I got upset. You made me feel better about myself. I don't lose weight and I eat good. I'm not over weight. I'm not a big person. Was always to thin, but the IBS I have made my stomach bloat. I have lost a little bit of it, but I guess you can't lose all the bloating. I'm not constapated, but my stools are soft, no diarriea though.
I don't have the symtoms that you mentioned to have something go wrong with my pancreas. I did hurt my legs 7 years ago and now my lower back hurts at times. A dog I was holding pulled me into a wooden fence and I hit my legs and fell to the ground. He was a big dog to. But, my lower back will hurt by the evening hours. Thank you again Dr. Ditah for being there for me. I will see my doctor next week. Your the best--wish you were my doctor! XXXXXXX Baylies YYYY@YYYY
