Brief Answer:
You should not wait with the surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Not every person has to have gallbladder removed. Only in case of few issues it should be removed. Most common reason of gallbladder removal are gallstones. Other indications are polyps, upper right abdominal pains with low gallbladder function in HIDA scan, gallbladder inflammation and very rarely a cancer.

If you do have stones in your gallbladder ( I assume you do, that is why you have asked this question), there is no point in waiting. Even if there is no symptoms like upper right abdominal pain, nausea, in your case gallbladder should be removed in the close future (like in next few months)

Guidelines say that young person (like at your age) with gallstones should have gallbladder removed. It is because your life expectancy is 30-40 years or even more. During that time for sure sooner or later you will get pains. Waiting with stones, especially small stones, can lead to acute pancreatitis or gallbladder inflammation. With this complication, surgery is much harder and much more risky than scheduled gallbladder surgery without inflammation.

As gallbladder removal is done laparoscopically, it may be called minimal-invasive procedure. Therefore you should not be afraid of it.

Typical symptoms of gallbladder issues are upper right abdominal pain radiating to the back with nausea, vomiting, fever, sweating.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
