Question : I would like to know what are the contraindications on a Ayurveda abdomen massage. Also for a marma massage what are the ontraindications.

Pregnancy Fever Diarrhoea Tumour in imtestinal area Hernia Acute abdominal pain Post abdominal surgery Ascites For marma massage Mostly contra indications are depends on location of marma. Mostly there is not major contra indication on massgae of marma area if there is not any abmormalities related to the connected organs. Brief Answer: about Detailing Detailed Answer: As per Ayurveda the part of the organ where various nerves are gathering, and so that the Junction of the nerves are called as Marma. So that the part of Marma is very sensitive and so that process like massage or pressure are very effective, but have to do carefully too. Ayurveda has mentioned various parts in out body called as marma and so that injury on those part are very XXXXXXX however panchkarma procedure without hurting that part is very effective too. So that Marma massage one of the good treatment, but should have to take from experts and under observation of Doctor. Now you had asked for Abdominal marma massage, which will mostly advised to recover gaseous condition, but should have to do with experts. Various parts of body, their function, their contraindications are vary as per the condition of patient, location of marma part, treatment procedure and treatment expert's work. In most of cases if its only external application; its not harms. and one more thing is that, if anything wrong with dealing of marma Ayurveda can recover as per the condition.
