Question : My grandson aged 18 months fell off a couch from standing position and bumped his head at back Cried vigorously and once placated seemed ok but he went very pale for a while which worried me. Has eaten and drunk normally and is now asleep for night. Am just over anxious as minding them whe parents on short holiday

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. First be reassured that your kid is normal.

I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -
1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behaviour.

If none of them are present, I don't think you should worry about his trivial head injury.

For pain you can give oral Paracetamol in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose(max ceiling dose 500mg) every 4-6th hourly.
