Brief Answer:
Both are having memory loss but due to different reasons

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Korsakoff's syndrome is found in alcoholic due to thiamine deficiency. The memory deficit is of short duration . Timely treatment and alcohol abstinence may help in recovery to much extent.

Alzheimers disease is age related memory and other brain function loss which is gradual and progressive.
The treatment comprises donepizil, memantine, rivastigmine.

You can visit a neurologist and get investigated for other reversible causes of memory loss.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
