Question : I am a 47 year old female in mentapause. For years I have had joint point pain and swelling of my finger joints. I have been told that I do not have arthirtis of any kind. For awhie I was told I had Lupus, but now I don't. I have been told I have fiber myalgia, but I don't think I have the right symptoms for that. Right now I am concerned because my joint pain has incressed and I have muscle weeknes. What could it be and what should I do about it?
Brief Answer:
I need to see your blood reports.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that I need to see your blood reports to comment on anything . Since you are getting swelling of your fingers it is highly likely that you are getting arthritis . In fibromyalgia you will not get any symptoms like this related to swelling of joints . Has your rheumatoid factor or Anti CCP antibody been done to rule out rheumatoid arthritis .
Take care.

I am not sure what blood tests I can present to you. The latest test done was by my homeopathic/naturalpathic dr. The last time I saw my rhuematologist was about 2 years ago. I have seen 2 different rhuematolgist in the past 3 years and they have given me different answers. My naturalpathic dr doesn't have a deffinant answer, but disagrees with my rhuematolgists. I lived in MI all my life, but have now lived in AZ for the past 4 years. The dr in MI said I have degenerate arthitis in my hands. No comment on my whole body pain, or that is tired into degenerate arthritis. The doctors here in AZ said I have no sign of inflamation in my blood test. I have copies of some of my blood work history, I will try to send it to you.

Dear Madam,
Thank you for reverting back.
Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that , your ANA has been positive twice and that too in high titres so I think its probably lupus that you are having , its not necessary to have high values of inflammatory markers all the time . Degenerative arthritis can be a accompaniment but that does not mean that you are not having lupus .Also you had proteinuria which was also suggestive for kidney involvement may be due to lupus . I think you should see rheumatologist and follow him rather than naturopath .
