Brief Answer:
average early 50's , preceded by perimenopause

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Perimenopause is before menopause.

Perimenopause is the time before menopause when the ovary production of estrogen decreases till eventually menopause sets in.
Perimenoapause can last for years and starts generally in the 40's., in some cases in the 30's

When a person starts noticing changes in the period or signs/symptoms such as hot flashes , vaginal dryness , fatigue or mood swings, they may be perimenopausal.

Menopause means that there is no period at all for at least a year. When this happens the person is in menopause.

On average most women are menopausal in the early fifties, the range is 48 to 55 though as mentioned can occur earlier in some women.
