Brief Answer:
HbA1c more than 5.7 % is diagnostic of Diabetes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to XXXXXXX Thanks for your query.

HbA1c more than 5.7 % is diagnostic of Diabetes mellitus. So with reference to HbA1c you're a Diabetic and as to be no medication.

HbA1c of more than 8 % is categorised as very poorly controlled diabetes.
If not controlled and maintained between 6 to 7 % than you're likely to develop diabetes related complications faster than a well controlled diabetes patient.

So here are few things you need to follow.
Lifestyle modification like exercise 45 mins a day.
If overweight loose some weight and maintain ideal body weight for your height.

Diet like cut down on refined sugars, fatty food and increase fiber in the diet like vegetables and greens.

Medication for diabetes(OHA/Insulin) and regular monitoring of blood sugar.

Screening for complications like Diabetic retinopathy, nephropathy etc..

Hope the answer helps you.
