Brief Answer:
Smoking is a toxin exposure

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Smoking is generally injurious to health and just because a person may not show acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to a toxic chemical doesn't mean he/she wont suffer its consequences. Smoking is responsible for 1 in every 5 deaths in the United States, alone. Overall mortality in both male and female smokers in the United States is three times higher than that among similar people who have never smoked in their life. So the majority of persons who smokes is at a risk of developing these health conditions.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Once again, thank you

Brief Answer:
Passive smoking stats

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Passive smoking , Environmental tobacco smoke or secondhand smoke causes about 3000 deaths annually from lung cancer even in nonsmokers. It leads to reduced lung function as shown by spirometery, increased sputum production due to goblet cell hypertrophy and hyperplasia recurrent severe allergic cough episodes and allergic asthma. Passive cigarette smoke resulted in 300,000 GP visits and 9,500 hospital admissions in 2014 in the UK. Around 5 million children are considered to be regularly exposed to secondhand smoke in the home in U.K.
Bronchitis and pneumonia are particularly common occurences due to passive smoking. 150,000-300,000 cases of LRTIs in children less than 18 months old are correlated to passive smoking every year. SIDs Sudden Infant Death Syndrome was also found to be of greater incidence in homes where one or both the parents smoked. Asthma of an estimated 200,000-1,000,000 children is worsened further by passive smoking.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks.
