Telmisartan and metformin.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I guess your renal function is normal. The choice of drug for hypertension in patients with diabetes is arbs like Tab Telmisartan 40 mg once a day in the morning 8 am. Dose depends upon the level of blood pressure. Another antihypertensive of same class like losartan or ace inhibitors like ramipril, enalapril etc is fine.
For diabetes, depending upon the sugar level, metformin 500/ 1000 mg alone or in combination with Glimepiride is generally started. Another medicine like sitagliptin may be added.
So these are the drugs preferred. You please let me know the level of blood pressure and blood sugar so that I can suggest about dosing.
Hope this helps you.
