Question : Should children 9 and 12 take vitamins? Their stepmother is giving them 4 melaleuca tablets a day. I wonder if that's too much .

Brief Answer:
I do not think that it is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Vitamins are substances required in very small amounts and if we can get a healthy meal, the essential vitamins can be procured from there without requiring for a substitution unless there are definite deficiency symptoms where substitution might be required. Occasionally it might be ok to give some vitamin supplementation but rather, protein and carbohydrates are more essential. In case excess vitamins are given, they are likely to be excreted unutilized.

The amount of vitamin supplementation is perhaps unnecessary. It might be worthwhile to discuss with a doctor about the same.
