Question : hi . my name is XXXXXXX I have a 5 year old grandaughter and she had an respiratory infection so her doctor put her on Antibiotics. Amoxicillan 500/5 2 x per day.. we are coming to the end of the medication ( 10 days) last night i gave her the evening dose and due to a communication error my daughter gave her another dose when she came home about 2 hours later. My grandaughter has absolutely NO effects from the error and is acting perfectly normal. We are Not giving her the morning dose to compensate., Are we doing the right thing? WIll she be ok?
Brief Answer:
You are doing the right thing - she will be fine - don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I understand your concern. Do not worry. Nothing will happen. You are doing the right thing. At the most she might have some amount of loose stool, but nothing to worry about it.
