Question : I already called my Dr.'s office and my nurse said I would be okay....but I'm nervous. I may have mistakenly taken two of my once daily doses of Effexor XR (75mg) within two hours of each other. It's been about two hours and I feel sort of tingly and itchy all over. She said I'd be fine to return to my regular dose tomorrow and to report headache or dizziness. Should I be concerned? Is it possible the tingling is merely panic (which I am a diagnosed patient of)?

Did I lose the connection or is this a normal wait time? Thanks :)

Hello,

venlafaxine (effexor) can be taken at a maximum dose of 375mg per day so 150mg for a yound healthy individual can't be too much! You shouldn't be worried about it, just remember to take your medicines as part of a daily routine or use a pill box with day indicators, so that you won't take the pill twice or forget to take it.

The tingling you mentioned is not expected with this dosage but you should avoid taking more than the recommended dose anyway because higher dosages make you more prone to side effects.
