Other than Ayurveds everybody else knows that mercury is toxic.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Let me tell you that Zandu Mugdh Rasa or Zandu Parad Tikri contains mercury. Mercury is a heavy metal and toxic for the body (even for an adult, and to a greater extent for a child). You may feel free to slow poison yourself with this 'Ayurvedic medicine' but if you really want to know whether mercury has 'side effects', rather than getting a ready-made answer I from me, I would insist you verify by googling out.
Mercury pills are toxic for your child and I would insist you to take him to the ER where they may consider giving chelation therapy with with DMSA, 2,3-dimercapto-1-propanesulfonic acid (DMPS), D-penicillamine (DPCN), or dimercaprol (BAL).
Pardon me if I have stated harshly but you need to embrace facts rather than blindly consuming toxic 'pills' in the name of health.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards,
Dr. Prof. Kunal Saha, General & Family Physician
