Brief Answer:
Wait for 48 hour.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for asking query on HealthcareMagic.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.

It really depends on the shape of the metal. If it is in a smooth round shape, it would probably just pass through and out. Eating a lot of food would provide it with a coating through the intestinal track to reduce the potential for damage. It will also increase the production of gastric juices which may be strong enough to dissolve the metal. 1cm is a fairly significant size for a foreign object although a quarter eaten by a person usually considered as something to just let pass through.
If the metal has sharp edges it may pierce the intestine They could potential perforate your intestines causing bleeding, infection, bowel obstruction, sepsis, and other digestive trouble. So have a eye on these system for next 48 to 72 hours.

Thanks.
