What Are The Repercussions Of Discontinuing Rabipur Vaccinations?
Question: Good afternoon.
There was dog which followed me while I was riding bike two months back.
I'm not sure whether it bitten me or not?!
From last 15 days my mouth producing more saliva
So i started rabipur course
0th injection is over.
After injection i got fever,headache,bodypains,tingling.
Now
My question is
Whether I have to continue vaccine or stop?
If I stop will there be any problem
And
Whether
Taking vaccine without dog bite gives rabies?(because I'm not sure about bite)

Hello Dear. In case of any doubt it is always better to get full course of rabies Vaccine. Because you should not take any risk or chances with unknown dog bites, because once a person gets rabies mortality is 100%.
Rabies vaccine is very safe these days. It is made up of chick fibroblast cell culture. Previously sheep brain neural culture vaccines were used which had lot of side effects. The newer vaccine Rabipur is quite safe. There is no harm in taking even if you did not have a dog bite. You need to take 5 doses- 0, 3, 7, 14 & 28
In case your fever is persisting for long time then contact your doctor. It may be due to some infection at the site or in blood stream. Do not worry about taking the full course of rabipur vaccine.

Hello Dear. Since you say that you are not sure that whether the dog bit you or not, it is very unlikely that you get any disease as such. Superficial licks and scratches are very unlikely to transmit rabies.
Though excessive salivation can be a symptom of rabies but once it starts with 10 days there will be full blown rabies. But you say that you are having since 15 days. So it looks unlikely. Moreover you say that you got fever after taking rabipur. Any symptom of rabies is very unlikely after rabipur, because nowadays the vaccine is safe without side effects.
But still in order to remove all doubts from your head and get a clear picture you consult a physician (MD, General Medicine) who will do blood test to see if there is rabies. Blood test for rabies antibodies will tell confirmatory whether there is rabies or not.

I got fear of water.
While taking bath no fear
Only when thank of water i got fear.
