Question : I normally take 10 mg lisinopril in the morning, 10 mg at night and 25 mg of metropolol at about midnight when I go to sleep. I had a crazy day, company etc. Long story short, I don't think I took my night time dose of lisinopril, but I honestly can't remember. Will it hurt me to take one now, if I did take it earlier?
Brief Answer:
if you missed one tablet its ok. continue on your regular schedule
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Lisinopril is anti hypertensive medication. If you have missed the tablet by mistake do not consume it to compensate.
You can take next dose in night as per your regular schedule. Taking irregular timed medications can cause you to go in sudden hypotension and giddiness and weakness might occur.
So do not take the tablet now but take it again tonight as per your regular time.
Missing one dose won't have any bad effects but taking over dose on 1 day might have.
I hope I have answered your query well.
If you have any questions kindly ask me back.
Thank you
