Brief Answer:
Avoid missing doses as you may develop resistance

Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms XXXXXXX

Welcome to health care magic.

I understand your concern about diverticulitis treatment and its side effects.

Flagyl is used to treat bacterial infections of the intestine, vagina, stomach, skin, joints, and respiratory tract.

I suggest you avoid skipping doses as it may increase your risk of further infection that is resistant to antibiotics.

Please do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.

Drug information on the net is usually in detail and can cause anxiety in the patient after reading the number of side effects.

These side effects do not occur in all patients but in only patients prone for allergies and patients with preexisting medical conditions or patients on other medications.

Some common side effects for any antibiotic include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea which reduce once your schedule is complete.

Please complete the full course of antibiotics prescribed to you for faster recovery.

But if you have any of the serious side effects like numbness, severe skin reaction, behavioral changes, call your doctor immediately for change of prescription.

I hope I have helped.

Wishing you fast recovery.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Complete the course of antibiotics for UTI

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXXXXX

Welcome back.

I am glad I was able to help.

Please complete the full course of antibiotics prescribed and avoid missing doses.

Cranberry extract is also very useful as a home remedy for UTI as it prevents adhesion of bacteria to bladder cells.

I suggest the following tips for faster recovery and prevent recurrence of UTI:

1. Drink adequate water everyday at least 2-3 liters per day.

2. After bowel movements, wipe from front to back (not back to front) as this helps prevent bacteria from the anus entering the urethra.

3. Keep the genital area clean and dry.

Wishing you a fast recovery and good health,

Thanks.
