Brief Answer:
no need to go to ER but do not take more xanax

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

You have taken 4.25 mg xanax in last 12 hours. In general maximum recommended dose per day is 4 mg. With this 4.25 mg dose you may feel excessive sedation and dizziness. As such this much dose will not cause any significant problem which requires urgent intervention. You need not to consult ER at present.
However you must not drive or work with machine for 24 hours to prevent any accident. Drink lots of fluids to clear the drug from body faster. And do not take xanax further for a day.

Xanax is a benzodiazepine group drug. It is very potent and chances of tolerance and dependence are there. Please do not take on your own. Take xanax under doctor's supervision and as per prescription only.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
