Brief Answer:
20 mg is not overdose

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

Thanks for writing to us.

Maximum recommended dose of abilify is 30 mg. 2 mg is very much low dose and generally it is tablet not available in 2 mg form.

3 month is also not long duration as abilify is an anti psychotic drug and generally it is given for minimum for 2-3 months.

Common side effects are headache, agitation, insomnia, nausea-vomiting, constipation, anxiety, akathasia, dizziness, fatigue and restlessness. All are reversible on stopping the drug.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Thank you for your reply.

The patient is also taking Fluoxetine 30mg and Vyvanse 40mg. Would Abilify 20mg taken along with those medication dosages, negatively affect the patient?

Brief Answer:
fluoxetine increases effect of abilify

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for follow up.

Fluoxetine increases the level or effect of abilify by affecting hepatic enzyme CYP2D6 metabolism. In that case dose of abilify should be reduced or one should avoid use of abilify.

Take care.
