What Are The Repercussions Of Taking Contraceptive Pills In The Wrong Order?

Question: Does taking missed contraceptive pills prepone period? I missed it twice and therefore had to take two at the same time. I had unprotected sex during this time. Now with a week left for the pack to finish I started having spotting since yesterday and there are slight cramps. Does this mean I am pregnant or just my periods have been preponed??

Missing the contraceptive pills for two days in a row or more causes the spotting that you are having. It is not suggestive of pregnancy. You will have your periods again after you finish with this pack. Ideally you should take an additional precaution like condom if you miss two pills.
