Question : I normally take 25 Mil of Toprol XL every morning around 7:30 am. I accidently took my morning dosage tonight before going to bed about 7 hours earlier than normal. I did the same with my Rampril 5MG dose, I took them both 7 hrs. early before going to bed. Is this a problem? Do I need to go to the ER?
Brief Answer:
No problem, you may not need ER
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You should not panic with this accident. You can just measure your blood pressure tomorrow morning after a good night sleep. You may skip these doses tomorrow.
In fact some studies have proven that blood pressure medication should be taken in the night. However it is up to your doctor to decide the course of medication.
For now do not panic, go to bed and sleep off. Measure BP tomorrow morning and skip the dose.
Hope this helps.
