                                            Question : Hi,
I accidentally blended the 'do not eat' XXXXXXX from my protein powder, into my smoothie and didn't realise until I had drunk most of it. Is it poisonous? It's the XXXXXXX that keeps the powder attracting moisture,
thanks,
Mardi

                                    Brief Answer:
Silica Gel non toxic
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.
You accidently swallowed a partial pack of Silica gel from your protein powder. The silica gel pack is non toxic and is actually added to some food in small amounts to help keep them dry. The amount of silica gel you swallowed is not harmful. It may cause some mild stomach upset. I can reassure you that you will not have any problems after eating the packet.
I hope I answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns or questions
