Question : Hello Doctor it has been 72 hours since I may or may not have swallowed a chicken bone I do not have any symptoms in my abdomen or throat should I be concerned? Has enough time passed or do I have to wait longer before I can be in the clear?
Brief Answer:
Not be concerned/worried.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Read and understood your history and concerns.
Note that you might have swallowed chicken bone, but do not have any symptoms in your abdomen or throat. And it has already been more than 72 hours. IF some problem of obstruction had to occur it would have occurred long ago usually within 24 hours.
Sufficient time has passed (more than 72 hours) as is seen in the normal course.
You do not have to worry as of now.
I hope this answers your query.
