Brief Answer:
Sexual transmission is not the common cause of UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sexual transmission is not the common cause of UTI. Women of reproductive age group are at much higher risk of acquiring UTI than men.

In your case, I don't think that your infection has been transmitted to your BF. However, it is recommended to get tested as it is an easy and handy test, so that you can easily be treated at very initial stage. Practice safe sex (barrier contraceptive like condom) till the infection is treated.

No, Oral sex is also not a risk factor for UTI.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
UTI

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back to HCM

This kind of finding in ultrasound sometimes represents UTI but is not a very helpful finding in detecting UTI.

However there can be debris present inside the bladder from some old Cystitis or some other reasons, to clarify further Urine routine and Microscopic analysis is needed and further course of action will then be decided.

Wish both of you good health

Thanks!
