I have muscle aches and burning ( mostly in my back and legs),especially on assuming the erect position. These symptoms lessen if I remain erect. I have no muscle weakness.
I have occasional cramps at night. These symptoms are slowing me down. I am physically active and exercise regularly.
some possibilities for your symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mrs XXXX,
Welcome to HCM.
Amlodipine and metoprolol are unlikely to cause your symptoms. Please allow me to propose some possibilities for your symptoms.
As you have been having chronic kidney disease (CKD), i assume that you have some imbalance of calcium and vitamin D which can cause muscle pains, cramps and restless legs. Serum iron and hemoglobin levels are often low in CKD patients which can cause similar symptoms.
Postural pain and burning in the back are usually symptoms of lumbar disc disease with nerve impingement. At the age of 80, osteoporosis is very common which adds to the trouble.
I would recommend to get yourself evaluated for these possibilities. Simple supplements of calcium, vitD and E will hopefully help you to some extent.
If there is anything you wish to know, please ask, I take the pleasure in answering. Good luck.
