Question : My daughter who is 16, is proscribed 300 mg of Gabapentin 3x daily. I messed up and XXXXXXX given her 3x300mg....3x daily. So 2700 mg of Gabapentin, when it ahold have only been 900 mg. I have done this for about 10 days. Is she in any danger?
Brief Answer:
if she's OK then there is no danger...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
if she's OK right now then there is no danger. The maximum daily dosage is 3600mg (4x300 x3), so she's not above this limit. Sleepiness, dizziness and swelling are the most common side effects. By increasing the dosage you increase the risk for side effects obviously. She'd better take the drug as instructed by her doctor...
Kind Regards!
