Brief Answer:
Vidagliptin has been linked.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
Galvus met contains Vildagliptin and Metformin.
Vildagliptin has been linked in various studies to the development of Pancreatic Cancer.
There is no strong evidence in support of this.
Vildagliptin belongs to a class of drug known as DDP-4 inhibitors. Currently they are being used widely for management of Diabetes.
See every drug has its side effects but it is not essential that everyone will get that.
There are many drugs used for treating diabetes. But there is not a single drug which doesn't has its known side effects.
You have to discuss with your doctor if you don't wish to continue Galvus met. Other drugs that can be given are Metformin,Glimiperide, Pioglitazone, Acarbose. You may also opt for insulin as it is known to have least side effects as compared to the other oral drugs.
I hope it helps
If you have any further query, please ask me.
