Question : I have flushing, higher BPmthan usual after my MD changed my meds.. I see cardiologist Friday. I was wondering if it was a reaction to the medication Irbesartan 300 mg. I also take Diltiazem 120 for a long time and it never bothered me.

Brief Answer:
Yes, it is a recognised side effect!

Detailed Answer:
Hi Shen,

Flushing is a recognized side effect of Ibersartan. Fortunately, this usually regresses as you continue taking the drugs. It really happens only in the early days of starting treatment. I suggest you stay calm and carry on because this would soon stop. I will not advise changing the medication right away because of such transient side effects.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up for more insights and clarifications if need be.

Kind regards!
